How can we rethink the street? Following the 48-hour intervention in the Annenviertel in autumn 2024, »banale potenziale« returns to the House of Architecture in expanded form – as an exhibition, experimental space and meeting point for dialogue on the potential of public space.
Public space as a site of experimentation
Opening on 10 April at 19.00 at the HDA, the exhibition not only documents the temporary urban interventions, but also continues the discourse: with new contributions, a spatial installation and open formats, the boundaries between exhibition and street begin to blur. The HDA itself becomes an urban laboratory where the private and public, planning and everyday life collide.
Discourse & Participation
In collaboration with students, architecture graduates and experts, the exhibition deepens the discourse surrounding public space. Talks, discussions and workshops accompany the exhibition – especially as part of the Lendwirbel neighbourhood festival.
The exhibition features contributions from: Kollektiv Raumstation, Radio Helsinki, Zara Pfeifer, Das letzte Ma(h)l, Natalia Vasadze, Hannah Wohofsky, Jonah Burgsteiner, Klara Schmidt, Sebastian Stubenrauch, Ajna Babahmetovic, Adna Babahmetovic, Valentin Böhm, Cedric Zellweger, spaxMama, Naomi Baumann, Robin Klengel and Leonhard Müllner/Total Refusal
