As part of Design Month Graz, the »GrazGuides« take participants on specially curated design tours through the »UNESCO City of Design«. These tours lead to selected »Design in the City« locations — including insider tips. Participation is free of charge, but registration is requested.

The meeting point for the tour, which begins on 17 May 2025 at 11.00, is the Dorotheum Graz auction house at Jakominiplatz 8, 8010 Graz. The following stops will be visited:

Sestra Store

with Elise Pierer from VON ELISE

Jewellery — inspired by artificial intelligence, yet created through the creative power of designer Elise Pierer. The goldsmith showcases her work in the Sestra multibrand store, where fashion and accessories by international and local designers meet.

Room Concept Store

with Eva Kaiser

“Impressions from the perspective of a mindful woman” — this is how Eva Kaiser describes her handmade ceramics. She presents her work in the Room Concept Store by Sabina Kursumovic, where fashion, art, furniture and accessories come together in a unique atmosphere.

IN OPTIK

with project initiator Gabriele Brandhuber from AUTwool

A sleeveless wool vest with no plastic, made purely from local virgin wool and 100% processed in Austria: this is the windbreaker developed in 2024 by AUTwool, on display during Design Month at IN OPTIK, a master optician’s shop in Graz.

Since 2011, designer Barbara Stölzl has specialised in crafting lampshades where the fabric itself defines the shape. »Pimp Your Bulb« gives bare bulbs a brand-new look in no time — just zip it on, and it’s done.

verytasch

with Florian Kalcher

At »verytasch« by Adi Berghold, you’ll find everything — from fashion and shoes to the legendary FREITAG tarp bags, vintage items, and art. During Design Month, you’ll also find the »Feuer/Hocker« by Florian Kalcher: a robust wooden product that can be burned like a campfire once it’s no longer in use.
