During Design Month Graz, the »GrazGuides« offer specially curated design tours through the »UNESCO City of Design«, stopping at selected »Design in the City« locations – hidden gems included. Participation is free, but registration is required.

The tour on 24 May 2025 starts at 11.00 at Mariahilferplatz, just around the corner from Kunsthaus Graz. The following stops are included:

HERZLich Laden

with Herbert Thanner from CUBES.ART Chess Innovation

HERZLich Laden, the “shop window” of Jugend am Werk, invites visitors to get hands-on: in addition to products from vocational and employment projects, this Design Month also features interactive wall games by »CUBES.ART Chess Innovation« – to explore and try out.

tag.werk

with Michael Eisner

Always on the lookout for new materials for its now iconic upcycled bags and backpacks, the tag.werk team turned to the sun: the collection presented during Design Month is made from awnings, with donated flags providing the lining.

Himal Hemp

with Dita Sommerauer

The message is loud and clear: “Hands off!” With texts by Tom Rechl and illustrations by Dita Sommerauer, this book playfully helps children aged 5 to 8 understand, express and protect their personal boundaries. During Design Month, the book is on display in the Himal Hemp shop.
