Art with a Message – Dita Sommerauer and the Book “FLOSSEN WEG!”
Dita Sommerauer is an illustrator, graphic designer, and storyteller with a clear stance. In her picture and colouring book “FLOSSEN WEG!”, created in collaboration with author Tom Rechl, she takes a creative approach to the topic of violence prevention. Her black-and-white, playfully quirky style offers a sensitive take on a serious issue. The book is aimed at children aged 5 to 8 – and at everyone who wants to help them recognise, protect, and assert their boundaries. An art project with real added value.
Himal Hemp: Sustainability from Nepal and Graz
The »Himal Hemp« store combines sustainable production with cultural exchange: clothing, carpets, jewellery, and books are created within fair structures – produced in Nepal and Austria. The team behind »Himal Hemp« places great importance on short supply chains, local businesses, and a mindful use of resources. As a publisher, »Himal Hemp« also contributes to social awareness: books like “FLOSSEN WEG!” address issues such as equality and violence prevention, making sustainability readable, tangible – and relevant for the next generation.
