1,600° Celsius and 6 gigapascals – under these extreme conditions, so-called »lab-grown diamonds« are created in the laboratory. This process mimics the geological forces that formed natural diamonds deep within the Earth millions of years ago. It all begins with a tiny diamond fragment – a seed – that serves as a blueprint and initiates the growth process.
Jewellery between nature and artifice
The exhibition showcases new jewellery pieces that explore the tension between natural and artificial production. Diamonds that are identical in properties and appearance, yet tell different stories of origin.
A glimpse into the future of jewellery production, where technology and nature enter into a fascinating dialogue.
