There are things we simply want to get rid of – and in the »Rage Room« of Design Month Graz 2025, that’s exactly what you can do. Designed by students of the Master’s programmes in Communication, Media, and Sound Design at FH JOANNEUM, this space offers a safe environment for emotional release. Visitors are invited to part with personal items they’ve brought – in their own unique way, and if necessary, equipped with helmet and protective gear.

Creating space for the new

The »Rage Room« is more than just an act of destruction – it’s an invitation to let go of the old and make room for something new. No registration required – visitors are welcome to drop by during the opening hours of the Festival Centre, Hornig Areal, and experience the liberating feeling of letting go. A chance to clear your mind and open up to new perspectives.

Safety information

Acknowledging risks: You understand and accept the potential hazards involved in destroying objects in the Rage Room, such as injury from broken pieces or slipping on debris.
Health check: It is your responsibility to ensure that you are physically and mentally fit for the experience, especially if you have pre-existing conditions.
Protective equipment and safety measures: Wear the provided protective gear correctly and follow all staff instructions.
Damage to property: We are not liable for damage to personal items that may occur during the experience.
Prohibited behaviour: Please act responsibly and safely; reckless behaviour will result in immediate termination of the session.
Personal responsibility: You are responsible for your actions during the session and must indemnify the Rage Room and its staff against any damage or claims.
Parental consent: Minors require permission from and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Right to refuse service: We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate the session if your behaviour or condition poses a risk.
