Repurposed and Refined – soulseil by Elisabeth Steinwidder

Elisabeth Steinwidder brings together climbing, design, and sustainability in an unusual material: the retired climbing rope. With her label »soulseil«, she transforms this durable rope into design objects that are not only functional but also rich in memory. Each piece is a one-off – marked by past routes and given a new purpose. From hair ties and glasses cords to, as part of »Design in the City«, a camera strap presented in a vintage film canister: these products tell of the value of materials and a mindful approach to resources.
