Together with artists from Austria’s street art and graffiti scene, »Raum 117« is turning the walls of the Festival Centre, Hornig Areal, into a dynamic artistic landscape. The works reflect this year’s Design Month theme »The New Real«, engaging with the question of who public space belongs to and how it can be actively shaped.

Art, dialogue, and open questions

As a voice of a young urban art movement, »Raum 117« enters into dialogue with decision-makers through this project. Openness, cultural exchange, and the visibility of artistic positions are central to their approach. The initiative began in 2022 under the name »Jam 117« – and now continues with renewed energy.

Meet the artists

During Design Month Graz, visitors will have the opportunity to experience the artworks on site and engage in conversation with the participating artists. A vibrant space where creative impulses meet social issues, and graffiti becomes a medium for dialogue.
