Design Tours

Discover, experience and understand design – on eight guided design tours through the city centre of Graz.

As part of »Design in the City«, Design Month Graz 2025 offers a series of guided tours leading visitors through 20 selected shops and exhibition venues in the city centre. On eight dates, designers and companies open their spaces and invite you to experience design up close – whether in the form of fashion, jewellery, interior design or sustainable material innovations. Each tour is thematically curated with a different focus: from »Culture Fusion« and »Fashion & Interior« to »Social & Sustainable«. Accompanied by expert »GrazGuides«, participants gain deep insights into creative processes, the ideas behind the products and the many facets of the design city of Graz.

Discover design, experience diversity

Starting at central locations such as Mariahilferplatz, Jakominiplatz or Herrengasse, the tours each last around one and a half to two hours and build connections between design, urban life and individual experience. »Design in the City« clearly shows: in Graz, design is not just a topic for exhibitions but a living practice. The tours invite you to discover the UNESCO City of Design in a new way, to explore creative approaches and to experience design as part of a dynamic urban culture.

Giving old objects a new lease of life while having fun: The upcycling workshop as part of »Design ab Hof« for children aged 6 to 12.

Eine Gruppe von Menschen geht auf einem Gehweg entlang einer Einkaufsstraße. Links im Bild ist ein Schaufenster mit Modeartikeln zu sehen, daneben stehen zwei Hocker mit Aufschriften wie „Creative Industries Styria“, „What now!?“ und „Revolution is now.“ Über der Eingangstür hängt ein Schild mit der Aufschrift „Offline Retail“. Eine Gruppe von Menschen befindet sich in einem kleinen, dicht eingerichteten Bekleidungsgeschäft. Ein Mann in der Mitte, mit dem Rücken zur Kamera, spricht zur Gruppe.
