Outside Graz
Design knows no city limits. A discourse in Weiz, an exhibition at Schloss Hollenegg or »almfrische« in Trahütten – Design Month also extends beyond the city.

While Graz is the heart of the festival, numerous programme highlights beyond the city show that design is a living, regional theme. From Schloss Hollenegg for Design to Pöllau, where agriculture meets the creative industries – design takes shape in a wide range of contexts, turning Design Month into a regional experience. Those who venture out will discover creative spaces, committed communities, and unexpected perspectives on the festival theme »The New Real«.

Design rooted in the region

Events beyond Graz bring design into rural areas. Here, design meets craftsmanship, innovation encounters tradition. Visitors can take part in workshops, attend exhibitions or gain insight into creative processes that are often hidden from view. Participation is encouraged here as well: regional initiatives invite people to co-create and join the conversation – whether at open studio days, lectures or dialogue-based formats.

In this way, Design Month Graz 2025 becomes not just an urban but also a regional event. Styria becomes an extended stage for design and innovation – showcasing how creatively connected regions interpret »The New Real«.
