Now. Finally. Rescue.
Under this motto, specialists in design and recognized design experts, invite to the “ordination” in the newly created Design-Clinic to deal with design issues. This initial reception centre for design emergencies is located in Graz’s Girardigasse. There, a great number of professionals receive patients with acute or chronic design problems – by booked appointment or, in urgent cases, without an appointment. The range of tasks of the Design-Clinic includes initial diagnosis, examination, coaching and treatment planning of major design problems that cannot be solved on an ad hoc basis.
The specialist for design
The designers work together closely with the shared common mission of making the world a better place for everyone by treating designs that could use help. They offer their expertise in the most diverse areas and cover a wide range of the design industry: interior design, product design, furniture, graphics, identity & brand, website, public space, wayfinding, green space design and coaching. Among the qualified specialist staff who offer consultation hours, is the who’s who of the domestic design scene.
These include:
Simone Kovac (Interior Design), Stefanie Schöffmann from look!design (Graphic Design/Spatial), Thomas Feichtner from Studio Thomas Feichtner (Product Design), Sigrid Bürstmayr (Sustainability, Exhibition Design, Design Training), Michael Ksela from SCOOP&SPOON (International Marketing & Communication Technology), Thomas Perz and Petrus Gartler from Perz+Gartler (Industrial & Product Design) and Johannes Robier from youspi consulting (Usability).
Prevention through knowledge
Prevention is better than aftercare. And this is best done by spreading knowledge. Therefore, the FH Lectures of this year’s Designmonat Graz are held in cooperation with the Design-Clinic. Lectures by international capacids and luminaries are intended to inspire those interested in design.
Specialists from different design disciplines offer initial consultation,
diagnosis and therapy for design problems of all kinds.
