Together with artists from the Austrian street art and graffiti scene, Raum117 is designing the walls of the empty space at the Hornig Areal festival center in different styles and positions on this year’s Design Month Graz theme “What now!?”. With this project, the association, as a representative of a young art movement, wants to enter into a dialog with those responsible in order to pose the question of who owns public space and how people can help shape it. The focus is on openness and cultural exchange.
The project was already implemented in 2022 under the name “Jam117” on the site of the old Stahl Eberhardt Halle at Waagner-Biro-Straße 117.
At the opening of Designmonat Graz, there will be an opportunity to engage with the artists.
