Ladies and Gentlemen!

Hardly any other event presents the vibrant creative scene in Styria as well as Design Month Graz. Every year it is an important showcase for Styrian design and offers the opportunity to discover its great diversity. And this is truly impressive: Almost every tenth company in our province is based in this sector and over 18,000 people are employed in these businesses. They generate an annual turnover of around two billion euros – an impressive figure that illustrates the dynamism of this sector.

However, Design Month not only demonstrates the great creative power, but also addresses topics that move our society. Under the motto “WHAT NOW!?”, this year’s focus is on the following question for the future: How do we shape our world of tomorrow and what solutions will creativity bring about? An exciting topic that promises a lot of excitement and inspiration in the exhibitions and workshops.

Design Month Graz is therefore once again an excellent opportunity to experience the innovative power of the Styrian creative industries. I am convinced that this event will not only inspire with great designs, but also contribute to making the importance of creativity more visible in our society.
