Design Month Graz is a special time when creativity and cosmopolitanism can be felt in our city, making it an international hotspot for design. Since its debut in 2009, Design Month Graz has developed into a showcase for the spirit of innovation, an exhibition of creative potential and an indispensable hub in the national and international festival calendar. The UNESCO City of Design award in 2011 has also placed Graz at the center of the global design scene. Graz has established itself as a city that implements new ideas with an almost inexhaustible creative energy. This creative spirit is not only fed by our renowned educational institutions, which offer a wide range of study programs in the fields of design and creativity. It also comes from the numerous creative companies, which make up a proud 15% of all businesses in Graz.

My heartfelt thanks go to Creative Industries Styria and the City of Design Department of the City of Graz for their tireless support and their passion for promoting creativity and design in our city.
